Mirrors Edge can't save? - HELP!

Ok, better start this fom the beginning.

Against my better judgement I recently bourght Mirrors Edge using...and it pains me to say it....EA digital download.

So I use EA Download Manager and have variouse issues with it, partly where the program itself was installed and then where it stored the files for installing the game.

OK so I install the game and it works but I get an error at the start saying "Cannot locate save file, your progress will not be saved".

So I reinstall and now the game wont work, crashes at splash screen. I reinstall 3 more times and finaly get it right again, only to get the same error

"Cannot locate save file, your progree will not be saved"

I am guessing this is coming up due to me having my HD partitioned and my documents stuff is on a differant drive, I have my OS on C: and games/files/my documents etc etc on D:.

I'm using Vista btw.

Can anyone shed any light on how to fix this issue? I've tried variouse forums, searches and even EA support which was useless, so am at a complete loss.

You can specify where EAM installs to, where it's cache files are held, and where the games install to.

I have my EADM folder and it's respective games completely on my D:\

Oh that I've sorted out, it's only the save issue that is the problem.

Just got back another response from EA support telling me to delete temp files...thats twice they have told me to do that after I told them I had already done this.

Probably an automated repsonse knowing EA's customer service record.
