In training.
Installing Mirror's Edge with EA Download Manager, on Windows 7 64bit and originally it was going to install to C:\Program Files(x86).
I manually changed it to C:\Program Files to hopefully make sure it utilises the 64bit OS.
:confused:
Really not sure how things work on 64bit and Program Files(x86) v's Program Files.
Would it of run properley, at it's full potential, in the x86 folder?
Should I of changed the installation target directory?
Someone enlighten me on this please. :)

I don't think it matters really? But my knowledge of x86 etc is limited. I always have a separate folder on the root for C: called "Games" to keep my games separate from my applications. I've not had any issues :)

Edit: Most games that fully utilise 64bit usually have a another 64bit executable, for example Crysis has this (2 .exe files). So make sure your short cut is going to the right one :)

Cheers for that maxilive. Installed now and going good.

Just about to Edit the TdEngine.ini in the Mirror's Edge config directory now, to uncap the 62FPS.

[Engine.GameEngine]
bSmoothFrameRate=TRUE
MinSmoothedFrameRate=22
MaxSmoothedFrameRate=62

For anyone wanting to know how just change the value in bold. :)

thanks again maxilife. Nice. :D

It doesn't matter where you install it, the exectuable will remain the same.

:rolleyes: Thank you.
Ha ha. Just looked and it's gone and installed it in Program Files (x86) anyway.
Yeah. That, keeping a seperate Games folder on C: sounds good to me too. Gonna go that way in future.
Cheers all.

I've also gone to the point of removing the company folders so for me Mirrors Edge is C:\Games\Mirror's Edge rather than C:\Games\EA Games\Electronic Arts\EA Sports\"insert sponsor label here"\Mirror's Edge\:D

Makes it far easier to see what I have installed!
