Mirror's Edge - is this the most irritating game ever?

I guess i was one of the only ones who enjoyed and actually like this game. :( :o

Had no problem with gameplay and only had to repeat a few sections. Its not that difficult, and i liked the idea of puzzle/fast paced action/adventure. ;)

There are a lot of dark, indoor, cramped scenes... My main point though is that there really shouldn't be vents in a "freerunning" game. It's also hard to get a sense of freedom in a sewer.
The DLC 'frees' the game from it's city landscape and turns it into a pure freerunning game. No idea if it's available for the PC though.

I like this game, althrough its best with physics X but hay just have ot wait till i get a Nvida card or till there is some kind of support on AMD cards for it

but over all I enjoy the game okay it can be quite annoying like not doing what you want, but if you get your timing right for your combos you get that sense of "joy"

Funnily enough, with all it's foibles, most people actually enjoyed this game, myself included. Any more than 3 attempts at a section and you do indeed suck :p

I love this game, because of the amazing vibrant colours and lighting.

Its just so different and I did not find it difficult at all, I found the hint button useful.

I also tried with and without the xbox 360 controller and the controller makes it much better aswell.

Also turn on filtering in the driver to stop the lines down the screen.

The game is pretty easy mostly - I never found the enemy, even the helicopters too much trouble...

However the try and die, then repeat a minutes gameplay to get to the bit to try again gets very boring and turns you off the game FAST - fortunatly theres only 3 places I can think of in the game where this really happens - but its enough to put me off the game.

While the game itself is pretty linear - there is actually atleast 2 routes through each bit - some of them aren't very obvious, but in reality you still pass through the same choke points with only minor deviations.

Personally I think the game should be playable in 2 modes - one pure running where you can't even pickup weapons and another mode where shooting is part of it and some of the harder jump sections removed. It would have made the game much more fun for a wider audience.

I enjoyed it. Although I agree there were some seriously frustrating parts to it. Would only play it all the way through once though. Can't see me reinstalling this again at any time.

Totalyl agree it would be better without the enemies shooting you. The free running and jumping was great fun. Finish the game and unlock the mode with no baddies.

I like this game for the first hour or so but then it just got so blah... the constantly running from gunfire thing is not my style. I would have preferred something like this mixed with the fighting style of the matrix pc game. Both have slow mo and NEO / TRINITY were a ton of fun beating the baddies up by hand. Sadly disappointed and glad I tried a "trial" version I found on the inter-web. ;)

It's certainly fluid, i'l give them that much. Playing it with a 360 controller helps too. And I guess on all max with AA it does look quite pretty.

But running... all the time? Really?

I played it on 360 and PC, treid my PS2 like game pad for PC and I landed up just using keybaord and mouse than I just took to the game...

its like prince of perisa ;D with the wall runs and combos you can do :D

You suck at playing it that's all, I'm the same, was stuck at the simplest bits of the game. I simpyl suck at mirror's edge.

Mates came over, and finished the game in 3 hours from where I was. Without getting stuck at all .

I have yet to complete it but its easy enough for me, just keep losing interest in a certin place which seems impossible :|

Just started playing two days ago, enjoying it so far, bit different to the usual FPS mince.

Got to say I agree on the over-abundance of armed chaps, I'd have preferred much more free running just delivering parcels; think 'Crazy Taxi' but on the rooftops. :)
