Superb game, Its short, sweet and a brilliant game.

Get it.

I enjoyed it. Short but it looks fantastic. The gunplay is crap though, so dont buy it if your into shooting things.

I was thinking about getting it more because it was an adventure/good concept rather than gunplay.

Is there good replay value? multiplayer?

Nothing in the way of multiplayer, but you have things like time trials, were you download peoples "ghost" runs and see if you can beat there time, upload yours and so on.

Played the first few levels and stopped. Beautiful but very repetitive with very similar gameplay from the word go. If you can get your hands on the demo play it through 10 times and you'll save yourself some money.

it's an excellent example of how good a game can be if it focuses on one aspect instead of trying to diversify in an attempt to please everyone (but often not meeting expectations)

the best part is that it's dirt cheap, which is good because of the limited replay value

Have to pretty much agree with everything said - it's something 'different' but lots of fun, initially. but it gets repetitive real fast, with not much incentive for replay unless you're into time trial/speedruns through each level.
Should be fine on your system at 1280x1024 or less. Not sure about higher resolutions.

Think im going to go into town and get this game (same price as the online retailers that am looking at) I run at 1440x900, looking at the specs i dont think there will be a problem.

Thanks everyone:)

I have to say I hated it. Most boring game I have ever played. It's like Tomb Raider without the nice bottom etc and any of the mildly interesting things to do. But that's just me. I could not be bothered to learn all the annoying moves you have to do. Perhaps this is a flaw in my dull repetative gene.

It makes a big change from crappy brown graphics found in most games these days. Nice bright colours with a focus on red for things you can jump on/use.

Just completed it today as it goes. I thought it was a nice little game, a bit short perhaps but that may have worked in it's favour as the gameplay was getting a little samey towards the end of the game.

Off topic, I'm sorry - I thought physX was hyped in this game, I was expecting it to be the much flaunted "killer app" to bring it mainstream. All I found were a few plastic sheets which had zero impact on either gameplay or immersion. There didn't even seem to be a great level of physics in the game, no more so than the source engine or GTA4's euphoria.

Rant over. Still worth a play through or two.

Well just ordered online when i realised postage and packing - first class for the game (same price in the shops) was less than what i would have spent getting the bus to and from town.

What an age we live in.

Got the game and oh...my...god :o

this has to be one of the finest titles i have played recently :D it feels so polished, and i am loving the gameplay. The atmosphere is incredible and i really feel like i am running for my life. the graphics are breath taking, much better in motion than from the screen shots that i have seen. Everything is so sterile and clean, the water is amazing and the character models are sharp.

So far i am loving it and been playing it for about 2 hours now :p

Will upload some screenies soon just my internet is a playing up at the minute:rolleyes:

Yeah I thought that. I read somewhere that it had 'amazing glass shattering effects' with PhysX - played the game and the glass shattering seemed little better than Duke 3d. The plastic sheets were a good effect but like you say added nothing to the game itself.
Still, it didn't need good physics, being an excellent game overall without em.
