Hi,

I originally have purchased Corsair Vengeance LPX Black 16GB (2x8GB) 3200 MHz AMD Ryzen Tuned DDR4 Memory Dual Kit from - https://www.overclockers.co.uk/cors...zen-tuned-ddr4-memory-dual-kit-my-4bx-cs.html

MPN CMK16GX4M2Z3200C16

This worked fine, however I then purchased (by mistake)

MPN CMK16GX4M2B3200C16

When enabling XMP I get huge instability issues, I assume I need to sell on the 'B' kit and purchase another original kit? (or sell both and get 2x16GB?)

This is on an MSI B450 Tomahawk MAX, with a 3600X

Thanks,

What's the difference according to CPU-Z, do they have different memory chips?

You could try setting 2933 on board default timings, and/or slightly upping the voltage, e.g. 1.37v.

Thanks for all of the replies, this is the CPU-Z output for the modules

Sorry can't figure out how to embed, keeps saying that its not valid

Ah, so they do have different chips. Definitely try the suggestions above, because you're unlikely to get XMP to work in this situation.
