Mismatched G.Skill DIMM issue

Hi guys I am looking to add another 16gig of ram to my rig and currently have the G.Skill Trident Z RGB 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 PC4-34100C19 4266MHz Dual Channel Kit I got off OCuk a year or so ago.

Have looked high and low and I cannot find this exact kit - the closest match i've been able to get is

G.SKILL F4-4266C19D-16GTZR Trident Z RGB Series 16 GB (8 GB x 2) DDR4 4266 MHz PC4-34100 CL19 for 250£

This isn't the exact same product code and memory has never been my speciality worried it's going to ****** more up than it benefits.

As the existing dimms are incredibly finicky on timings (sometimes not even booting on XMP) am I better off binning the existing dimms and getting 2*16gig dimms at lower timings?

on a z390 with i9900k

If the timings are the same for that kit it may work, but bear in mind if your current settings are pretty marginal with two DIMMs, its likely it won't work at all without slowing it down / relaxing timings with four DIMMs.

If you can get a reasonable price for your current kit I'd be tempted to sell and replace with 2x16GB for simplicity sake.
