Missing 5gb of space in windows.

Hi all... I use Win 7 with Intel 34nm SSD.

I did have 6gb of space on it. Started to copy a 5gb folder over with all my photos as back up. Decided not to. cancelled the copy but the space is still used up. I have run the "trim" command on my Intel SSD but the space is still taken.

What can i do? it was supposed to be copied to desktop. ive made sure the folder isnt on desktop nor in recycle bin. And also done a CC cleaner on it.

weirdly enough the space came back today. just randomly 2 days later :/ after i did a huge clean out un-installing programs lol typical

Perhaps something was stuck in a temp folder somewhere and after your clear out it got sorted.

Or Explorer got confused for a while.

This is a great program, love it. using it on my dads laptop atm.

I like WinDirStat too, often very useful in these situations.
