Missing a cap whats it for ?

Hi all.

I am buying a bike of my gf dad and there a missing cap and not sure what it is for.

He does not know him self as he never used the bike before just got it from his m8 who closed down his bike shop some time ago.

The bike is a Suzuki RMX 50 2003 model.

I only had a quick look today and got some pics.

I know it's not oil or water cap.

Looks very much like where the cable from a cable driven tachometer would connect.

I know the rev counter clock missing if thats what you mean.

I get the bike some time next week so i can have a proper look and get it fixed up

Looks about right, I had no idea when I looked but now he's mentioned it I reckon he's right.

yup looks like a tacho drive ...if you cant find a replacment make sure you close up the hole

I think even with the work needed to be done (not much i think) its not bad buy for £100
