weird, but after a clean of 10.5 on a macbook gen 1, theres certain apps missing such as idvd, iphoto...

previously when I did a upgrade it came up with the message "Not supported on this architecture", after a clean install the icons are missing all together... any ideas?

I had the same issue. You need to put the disks that came with the mac originally in and then you can choose to install iLife

I think its when you browse the disc theres a folder for extra programs. I'll dig out the discs and see if I can find it.

When you put in your tiger disk that you got with the mac it should say optional installs or something like that.

Click on that and click the ones you want to install.

yeah, iLife comes with Macs and NOT with OS X. So if you buy Leopard off the shelf it wont come with iLife, you will have to get your old tiger CD and install it from there!

Use Pacifist to locate the apps if the Install Bundled Software option does not work. When I went from Panther(?) to Tiger I used pacifist. I used upgrade for Leopard.
