hi,

Can someone help me with my boot up problem.

Recently re-installed Win 7 on my PC. All is fine except it won't boot without having my Win 7 DVD in the tray. Without it it's saying 'Missing Boot Manager'.

The reason it's saying it's missing the boot files (?) is because it's pointing to the wrong drive! (please see my bcdedit results below).

My G drive has only music and video files. I need it pointing to C drive. Any help most appreciated!

thanks!

that bcdeasy prog never worked for me. No matter what settings i tried with it (probably me).

i removed my xp which was on a partition (and not a separate physical drive) in the end. Merged back the partitions into a single drive and installed Win 7 again.

After installation, darn thing still wouldn't boot properly without the disc in!

I then went and cleared my CMOS. This did the trick.

I probably did things the 'prehistoric' way but at least it's all working fine now... jeez.

thanks for all your input guys!
