Missing Dell E520 Recovery Disc

Does anyone know where I can download the recovery disc need for the Dell E520. Its a machine that I want to bring back to factory state for a friedn but he's lost all the disc that came with the machine. I know there is a recovery partiton but I cant seem to finds a way to activate it.

EDIT : Apparently there is supposed to be a program on the D: Backup drive, but this has been ~deleted~

Use any OEM disk of the relevant OS ie XP Home or Pro, Vista etc.
You will have to reactivate but you will not get all the rubbish that comes with Dell recovery disks.
