hi all, im reinstalling windows for a friend on his laptop ( acer aspire 5520 ) i have installed vista x64 all went fine, there were a few missing drivers so i d/l them all fine, went to install office from cd and wouldnt recognise the dvd drive, tried allsorts with no joy, so i thought reinstall windows, the laptop recognises the disc starts to load drivers get to the part where windows would normally ask about install options and tells me i have no dvd rom installed but its just read from the cd to get to that point, tried a solution off the micrsoft website where you delete something in the registry, but the lines they say to delete dont exist on this laptop, any help would be appreciated.
