Ive driven an array of cars over the years. What features would you like you car to have out of a car you have either owned or driven in the past.

Mine is max speed option on cruise control. Both a Clio and Pug I drove in France had them which is a v.good idea. Means you can set the speed say 10MPH above the limit without having to keep looking at your speedo.

I don't understand  sounds just like any cruise system.

Anyway, i'll forgo listing the features i'd like and just say I wish my car was an Evo.

I think he means a limiter, i have seen them on pugs and mercs and its normally a swtich on the cruise control stalk to enable it.

surely that's pretty damn annoying when you are trying to perform an overtake and it cuts your speed? Not exactly hard to maintain a speed with the pedal is it, and if that's beyond you then just use the cruise control. I really can't see the point in this.

The limiter is a great feature, I love it. Set it to whatever and you can't exceed it, so you can absolutely hammer off the line and then it just reels it in when you reach the desired speed :p

And Clarkey - it is a useful tool, partly for the reason above and secondly it means you can't exceed the speed you set - i.e. set it at 79mph on the motorway, 30 around town and so on, without the need to constantly reengage or adjust the cruise.

I reckon it's one of those features designed for people who can't drive to protect themselves from themselves.

This is stupid.

Having the main beam light right in the top middle of the dashboard. My Vento had it and my Neon has it. In the Xantia it was in the bottom left and often obscured by the steering wheel.

I miss the scoob's 'BRIGHT' button. It's the worlds most pointless button, thus it is also the coolest.

This probably sounds silly, but the ZX has a cup holder behind the handbrake just in the right position for coke cans, small bottles etc. The Volvo doesn't have anything like this, only a cavernous compartment that you can't use for drinks becasue they fall over!

Anything resembling 'power' in the Seicento. Not necessarily power along the lines of a full-on muscle car - I'd settle for anything over 60bhp to be honest. The contrast when you go from Mum's 500 to my Sei is pretty vivid....and the 500 isn't a powerful car.

My Megane had six HVAC blower settings. Six. And about 10 intermittent wiper speeds. I miss these features. The incredible precision with which you could ventilate your cabin and wipe your windscreen was unparalleled!
