Can someone please advise me to where my files possibly may have gone?
What i've done:
I tried to copy files using xcopy from an external HDD to a local disk. The copy started to go ahead then failed even though i used the /c switch, now when i go to the destination the file structure is all mapped out but with no files, as i would expect because it failed.
But when going back to my external HDD to start the copy again, all the folders and sub folders are there but none of the files, but the HDD is still reporting the same used disk space etc.
Is it that the files are there it hasn't indexed them, is there any way i can get them to show again? I wouldn't want to loose the info as this is my backup drive which i was trying to backup
