Missing Live points

So, I decide to buy Worms today from Arcade.

Go to buy and find that my balance is 0.

I redeemed 1000 points when I bought Gold membership, so where have they gone? Tried putting the doe in again and it says its invalid.

Where could they have gone? Do they expire if you don't use them?

4/01/2007 Points expired -- Points -1,000Microsoft Points --

On live it states...

"points that are awarded to you through promotions can have expiration dates"

So they only lasted 2 months.

Shame that the points voucher never told me this.
