missing operating system...

I turned on my pc today ( in my Sig ) to find the message "missing operating system " displayed after the post screen

I can't seem to get into the BIOS and don't really know what to do next?

I'm sure u guys can help

Yes its on raid 0

I'm using win 7 64

I can't get into boot priority or anything atm, ill try windows repair if nothing else works

All I see during post is the splash screen, a short delay with a black screen and then the missing os message

The controller is just the onboard one, no raid card installed.. so the os disc should have the drivers? Is that possible?

Ok I'm gonna have a few more attempts to get into BIOS but if this fails what should I try first?

Last resort is to reinstall, I don't have recent image :/ will resting the BIOS loose my current install for sure ?

I really can't seem to get into the BIOS.. everything lights and fans are spinning up, I get one boot beep but I'm not sure if the hdd are spinnung, i can't tell

The next board I get will definitely not be asus i seem to have been having a lot of problems with it lately

I haven't yet reset it

I've always had issues getting into the BIOS ( only have usb ) my g 15 never works and my Microsoft wireless 8000 does sometimes, so this again may be why I can't get in :/

Ok the BIOS is fine, I used a spare keyboard.. the pc seems to be seeing both drives in the raid array but. Separately, is there a fix for this or does this again mean a reinstall?

once i got into the bios i saw that somehow the hdd configuration had simply been turned to ide

changed this, all fine

SO

why doesnt my G15 keyboard allow me to get into the bios? the extra keyboard i used was another basic USB dell one
