Anyone got any good adviceon what to do with a years missing service from the Log Book?

Last year I took the car to get its service at the dealer I bought it from (probably a mistake anyway :p) and forgot to take the log book with me :(

Easy your going to say - take it back, get it stamped and sorted.

Sadly no - 3 days after the car was serviced the dealership closed up for good along with several others int he area too :/

Only just discovered this as it needs a service for this year now.

Best plan of action?

Ta for any advice :)

Maybe a neighbouring dealer will stamp it on their behalf if you service it with them? They will be able to see the parts have been changed within the past year.

When I bought my MG it had a full service history but the dealer had forgotton to stamp the book for the last service. As it had all of the receipts it didn't worry me - I just wrote in the service details by hand.

When it comes to sell the car I'll have the receipts for the service to prove that it was carried out
