Missing system files???

Ok i sold my corsair for some g.skill recently.

I wanted to run the HZ at at least 250mhz but when i lower the cpu multi to 9.5 or even 9 so that i can use a smaller divider on the ram but keep the cpu running at 2.8ghz, i get a error at boot - missing file... blah blah blah.

This is fairly annoying as my cpu runs fully stable @ 2.8 (10x multi) and ive had the ram running stable at 260mhz (smaller divider/slower htt). So im forced to run at 233mhz because of this :(

I never had a problem with my corsair and multi's. So wots goin on? :confused:
 
Could be your mobo doesnt like the HTT:mem speed ratio. Bios flash or new mobo I think would sort it or maybe some different memory unless the ram itself is faulty.

I know my old 1gig OCZ kit wouldnt boot with 166:200 ram:HTT but this 2gig gskill runs fine.
 
well just been trying again... dont think the ram is faulty, just got it up to 270mhz without any immediate problems, didnt like 275 tho :(

My mobos all up to date but i think it is the problem, nevermind u cant have it all can u :P
