If it's affecting more than one local property then do the Community Fibre Partnership. You basically pay the difference between what is allocated commercially to an FTTP build for the number of properties involved, and what it actually costs. I think you also get a £500 allowance per premises that is taken off the total, and £2500 for any business involved as well. It just requires a bit of organising of residents on your end.
