Missus wants a DS

Hi doopydug,

Go for a lite.

They are just as functional... simply an update of the original so they could make it smaller and sleeker!

The screen's on the lite are much brighter (one of the improvements as the original could not easily be played outside or in a well lit room) and the stylus is larger and easier to use.

Past that it's basically the same. Just smaller and sexier... a far better item all round! :)

i had an original DS on release and sold it on for a DSlite. It was a worthwhile upgrade!

Hey there, nice to see a fellow fifer on the boards!

I dont have a ds as I decided on a psp, but when I was looking into them it seems that the lite is better, you would be hard pushed to find an old one now anyway. Dont think there are different versions of the lite, just different colours.
 
Nice one guys - we are going to get her one on Wednesday - have taken the day off work just in case she needs me to show her how to play it :p

My missus enjoys Animal Crossing & Phoenix Wright... next on her list is Hotel Dusk. Nintendo have succeeded where I failed - she's turning into a gamer!
 
We recently got Phoenix Wright and Hotel Dusk. As soon as I power the DS up to play Phoenix Wright my better half wants to play Hotel Dusk. I reckon Im gonna have to get another DS Lite. :D
 
Phoenix Wright series and Advance wars are 2 DS games I played that totally made me unaware of the time, I could sit and play it for 4-5 hours without even realising it.
