Mistakes were made...

Started looking at a new PC build 1-2 months ago but decided to hold off getting one built around a 4080S and instead waited to see what the 5000 cards were all about.

Now the 5000 cards are out of stock and so are the 4080

I think next time anything is in stock I'll just take the plunge, I'm not a super PC enthusiast, I just need an upgrade after 4+ years of my current build

Might as well wait for the AMD cards at this point, only a few weeks

Forever waiting for new tech

Ever since I started looking I swear my old PC is getting worse and worse.

Not sure if it actually is or I'm telling myself it is...

Are 4080s likely to come back into stock or am I stuck waiting for 5000 series cards at this point? Just want to get something built!

I would guess that 4000 series cards are mostly gone at this point, since the 5080 has replaced them at that price point, but that's based on nothing at all.

So probably a while until I can get a brand new card then, I'm sure people are constantly refreshing the 5 series cards.

New PC might still be a while off...

Well there's always AMD

I have AMD currently but for streaming and video rendering I think nvidia might be better this time around.

I did the opposite, decided not to wait for the 50 series and went with a 4080 super, looking at the 5080 now can't say I have any regrets
