Mister FPGA

Btw, I don't know if anyone else has seen but an Atari Jaguar core has been released, it is not 100% compatible and still being worked on. However, it requires two sticks of RAM to work - do something to take into consideration with builds. I've heard the dualram Saturn core has seen improvements with two now as well.

I have just received the HWFLY kit to mod it so that i can overclock the cpu and run the games at the docked speed as when playing TOTK it didnt look anywhere near as crisp or as fluid as the oled used to be on the TV. I am also thinking about adding the HDMI output mod as well.

I am just in the process of building a bartop with a PI4 2Gb purely for arcade systems. I am hoping that i will benefit from a Mister Pi over another PI for other emulation.

It looks like there is still some available, I am shocked that it has not sold out already. I have been up throughout the night with the little one keeping an eye out on it.

These will be available down the line anyway :). What would you plan on playing with the MiSTer? Do you need the full bundle being the biggest question.
I was mainly thinking about it for the arcade stuff in my big cab. But that said SNES, PC Engine and other stuff would be a bonus. That said i can do all this on PC hardware so all good. I would just have liked to have the authentic look of the arcade stuff over hdmi. That said some of the filters on the PC versions of Mame are getting pretty good now. Its only $25 over the standard bundle for the mega pack with the case and usb board.

Ah well, might pick one up later down the line if i do another big cab.

Was very surprised to see that. See the Turbo pack is still available and there’s a batch 3 preorder appeared for a January/february release.

I was just about to post the same. $180 for a full on Mister solution is incredible price.. I seem to recall the last time i looked at a full Mister FPGA kit it was over £400!

The full package was already worth its weight in gold for retro gaming and now running two 128mb RAM is starting to show its worth, so something to consider. You can get away with a barebones DE10-NANO board for quite a lot of cores, it might be worth checking out a list to see what you would definitely play and buy the FPGA board as a starter, as you can always buy additional stuff later.
