Wizzo’s remote app has come on along way too, you can browse to the game and write it to the nfc card all from the app. He’s also looking at adding meta data and box art etc

I've just released the 3d print files for the ACR122U NFC reader, if anyone has one and want's to give it ago -
Wizzo has also re-branded the nfc script from nfc.sh to tapto.sh which now supports returning to the MiSTer main menu when the card is removed! (turned off by default and configured in the INI)

That would be awesome thank you. I’ve got an ACR122U, I’m guessing I just take it apart and replace with the shell?
Yeah exactly, just unscrew the screws and drop the PCB in the new case. I'll send you a PM!

The TapTo Label Designer web app is now live - https://tapto-designer.netlify.app/

You can use it to create a PDF of 9 labels on one A4 sheet or download all of the individual labels as PNGs. There are a couple of different templates to choose from as well.

Not yet but I've also been meaning to set it up with MiSTercast to watch some old VHS horror movies on my CRT.
Nice, I was wondering if something like that exists! I didn't know about this (is there anything the Mister can't do - it's going from strength to strength) :) Will check this out for sure.

I've not heard of GroovyMister either, I've been reading up on it and more confused then when I started :) Can you tell me how Groovy would differ over using the above please?

Question for those who have run the Saturn core - is anymore running it with the V 2.5 128MB SDRAM module, if so is your experience OK?

Context: My MiSTer was purchased Dec '20 from the really well run and known UK site (not sure if I can name). According to the receipt it's the V2.5 - which was probably latest and greatest at the time. I know since there has been a 2.9 & 3.0 revisions which are apparently largely the same but improved some issues with capacitors on the old boards. None of this I knew until watching a YouTube video about the latest MiSTer updates.

Anyway apparently issues audio/crashing issues are usually a good sign of issues with older RAM modules as the Saturn core pushes memory much harder. But tbh so far the Saturn core really behaves for me. Earthworm Jim 2, Radiant Silvergun, Sega Rally, Daytona, NiGHTS, Puzzle Bobble 2 all seem to load and play fine. I had one lock up on SR between the first and second stage (white screen) but beyond that nothing so far. The memory measures 140Mhz in the official memory tester until utils which is probably about right, although I know people have examples that go faster.

I need to spend more time with the core playing a game for a good while, but the bit I can't answer is whether anyone is running the Saturn core with V2.5 well. I can buy a V3.0 for £50 but obviously don't want to waste that money if not required.
