I have preordered the Superstation and Analogue 3D. Tariffs are currently making me fairly anxious about the 3D, you might have dodged a bullet .

I’ve been in two minds about ordering a Pocket as I have a GBC and GBP with modded IPS screens and an EZ Flash, which is more than enough games to distract me when I’m travelling.

Having owned one, would you still buy one now?

I’ve not done anything with the Tang 9K and I’ve got the Tang 20K setup as a dedicated NES/SNES console with OG controllers. Unfortunately I’ve not been able to get the Tang Console flashed with the latest release of Tang Core so not been unable to test it grrrr

Anyone getting the Mister Multisystem 2 ?

Only just caught up with that video and kinda impressed with what they've done. I think if I was buying a MiSTer now I'd seriously consider one. Even the cheaper £204 unit would probably work for me (although you have to buy a PSU, or bring your own). I imagine it'll have solid availability, UK-made and hopefully good support if things go wrong. My only gripe although I understand it; is the 3D printed cases are ugly.

I have to be honest I haven't switched on the MiSTer in a while now, been too busy with other things so I can imagine I'm way behind on cores, AmigaVision and their X68000/DOS setups. Probably going to lose an afternoon updating it.

Has anyone got the reflex SNAC adapter from MiSTer addons? I recently picked up a Jaguar controller to use with the WIP core, looks like that is the only way to get hooked up with an authentic controller.

Wondering if it is good, or if there are any smilar alternatives?

I rarely play my pocket, the core development on it has been impressive with numerous arcade and console cores. The screen looks amazing. I used it quite a lot when I first got it, but now it is solely my go to for on the go gaming, which I guess is what it was designed for. At home, I'd rather play on the big screen, the dock was a good option, but now I have multiple MiSTers, it has kind of lost its place.

It's a preorder, paid for upfront. I've also ordered a second MiSTer Pi from his store the other day, which is on its way . Just got to keep an eye out for updates on X. From what I understand the next batch (3) will be dropping on 16th May.

I don't do social media, I'm on the mailing list but never received anything from his firm so batches come in and get get sold out immediately which is annoying. But thanks for the heads up for 16th May.

I have signed up for alerts on a few different profiles involved in the retro scene and keep a close eye on the Taki products. I will happily drop you a message for the batch if any important updates, if you want?

The last batch took a while to sell out from what I remember, so this batch might be ok.

Edit: Regarding the 'dig' no worries at all mate. These tend to go over my head, I am completely oblivious to them the majority of the time .

That is quite the collection! Do you use them for different things?

I have the DE-10 setup as a DOS/Amiga retro station with an old HP CRT monitor.

The QMTECH is in an old SNES case, with working power and reset buttons. The controller ports are wired up to an DaemonBite USB adapter and I have an NFC module near the cart slot so can be used with real carts to launch games by putting a NFC tag inside them etc

The MiSTER Pi is currently just sat on my desk as I’ve been designing a consolized case for it.

The Tang 9K I was hoping to use it as a dedicated NES FPGA but the guy porting it to the 9K abandoned developing for it.

I’ve got the 20K as a dedicated NES/SNES FPGA hooked up to my 65” OLED in the living room with OG SNES controller ports. This setup cost under £30! I’m hoping Master System will get ported to it as well.

I got sent the Tang Console 60K to help with beta testing but I never managed to get it working :-/ I need to try the latest release of TangCore

Pixel Cherry Ninja uploaded a video with updates on Taki's products and the tariff situatuon which is quite interesting. It should only be 20% for USA customers importating FPGA products. Hopefully this is correct and all works out for those making FPGA consoles, I am hopeful we will get some news on the Analogue 3D soon!

Which colour did you go for?

I went with translucent blue and picked up some OG translucent blue controllers from CEX

I went with the same colour mate. That is a really good idea about the controllers, how was the condition? I find CeX so wildly inconsistent, I ordered a Jag controller the other week, turnt up dusty and filthy, with tape around the connector, dpad wouldn't move! I sent it back, reordered and I would say the controller was almost new.

The ones I got seem great but I only buy from in store so I can give them a once over first to avoid what happened to you. I’m lucky I’ve got 6 stores all within reasonable distance.
