Was thinking of building a HTPC/Light Gaming Machine for the living room. Here's what I've thought so far, but I'm worried that with the cooler and limited space in the case the CPU might get too hot during gaming.
Case - Silverstone Milo ML05B HTPC Case
PSU - Silverstone Strider ST45SF-G 450W 80+ Gold SFX Modular Power Supply
Processor - AMD A10-6800K Black Edition 4.10GHz (Socket FM2) APU Richland Quad Core Processor
Motherboard - Gigabyte GA-F2A88XN-WIFI (FM2+) mITX
Memory - TeamGroup Vulcan ORANGE 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-19200C11 2400MHz Dual Channel Kit
For the CPU cooler, I was think the Scythe Big Shuriken 2. This would mean I couldn't insert a slot loading drive, but if I went for the Noctua NH-L9i I could keep the multi function bracket and install an optical drive or 3.5" Hard drive, but I'm worried the heat would be to great for this cooler. Overall, the main thing I'm worried about in this build is the heat. I'm not sure whether the 6800k would be too hot under load as it would be nice to overclock the GPU of it a wee bit. What do you guys think?
Thanks, Owen
