Hi all,

I currently have G.Skill 4GB (2x2gb) DDR2 PQ PC2-8000C5, I have upgraded to Windows 7 & my motherboard can support 8GB.

Unfortunately I am unable to find where to buy another 2 sticks of this RAM, so am I able to add 2 sticks of different RAM?

If so, which do you advise?

Thanks in advance

Do you actually need more than 4gb?
TBH if you do I would think about starting to upgrade my computer if your using ddr2

you can, but its recommended that they are the same voltage.
if they are a slower speed eg. if your existing ram is 800mhz and the new ram is 667mhz then all the ram will run at the lowest speed.
also have you got Win 7 64bit? if not then Win 7 32bit wont see more than 4gb and will be a waste.

I have 2GB (2x 1GB) of 800MHz G.Skill DDR2 that might be going on the MM soon. I don't know if they are the same model as yours. They have blue and silver metallic heat shields on them.
