In the past I have had mixed brands of ram(same volts and timing) in my computers but so far not with DDR2 ram.
Installed = Crucial Ballistix 2GB (2x1GB) DDR2 PC2-6400C4 800MHz Dual Channel kit running at 4-4-4-12 2T 2.2V
Have it setup to give me(via the cpu @ 13x216)2.8GHz.
Also have
GeIL 2GB (2x1GB) PC2-6400C4 800MHz Ultra Low Latency DDR2 Dual channel kit that runs at 4-4-4-12 [email protected].
Installed said GeIL kit and left everything as it was with the Crucial.
So far no problems.
Is it safe/wise to even try running that lot together without any changes?
Also Ballistix is EPP and GeIL is not so could that cause any problems?

If you've had no problems so far they you might have got away with it.

It's good to see that someone's actually tried running the Ballistix and the Geil together.

When I first had the GeIL in the same cpmputer there were loads of lockups and crashes and that is why I stopped using GeIL and went for the Ballistix.
Have had the mixed ram in for over one hour so far without any problems.
