Mixed Brand Crossfire?

Hey Guys,

I am buy my second 6970 and just want to be absolutely sure.

My Current card is this http://www.asus.com/Graphics_Cards/AMD_Series/EAH6970_DCII2DI4S2GD5/

and I'm thinking of buying this:
http://www.msi.com/product/vga/R6970-Lightning.html

From what I understand these will work fine crossfired together they will just run at the lowest cards clock speed?

if its a 6870 then dooesnt matter who made it,itll run in xfire fine,think they run at each cards clocks but will only be as quick as the slowest card

Any 69 series works in CrossFire regardless if it's the 70 or 50.

They will run happily at different clocks too, one just won't utilise as much use depending on scenario.

Put the lightning on top for temp purposes-if the increased fan noise isn't an issue@idle.

I had 5770 in Xfire and clocks were different with no problems.
