Mixed OCZ/Geil RAM - better settings?

New to Overclockers, hope this is the right forum!

I'm doing an upgrade on a vintage Gigabyte P35-DS3R using DDR2 - originally had 2 sticks of 2 GB OCZ DDR2-800 2.1V, and I'm adding two sticks of Geil DDR2-800 2GB 1.8V.

The Geil sticks pass Memtest86 for >12 hours when only that pair installed, and OCZ has been installed and memtested previously.

The problem was getting the PC to even boot into BIOS menu with four sticks - would hang on first page while listing drives, or hang in menu.

After a lot of tweaking (I'm an overclocking newbie) I finally got a stable boot with 4 sticks, but settings are not great, using 667 MHz memory clock rate.

Windows boots and Prime95 blend is fine for 30 mins so it seems stable at least.

Some questions...

- best settings to adjust to get a stable boot at 800 MHz? I'm not into overvolting for speed yet.

- seems like this Geil 1.8V RAM should be OK at 2.1V based on various comments I've seen - what do you think?

BIOS is F13, latest version.
CPU: Q9550 @ 2.83 GHz.
Motherboard: Gigabyte P35-DS3R rev 2.1

RAM details:
- current: OCZ DDR2 PC2-6400 SLI-Ready Edition 4GB Dual Channel 5-4-4-15 800 MHz OCZ2N800SR4GK (2 x 2GB sticks)
- new: GeIL 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model GX24GB6400DC - timing spec 5-5-5-15

BIOS settings:

DDR 2.1V (+0.3V)
FSB +0.1V
MCH +0.2V
CPU Freq: 2.83 GHz (333 x 8.5) / CPU host freq 333 MHz
Performance enhance: Standard
CIA2: Disabled
System memory multiplier 2.0
- memory frequency 533 & 667 MHz displayed on BIOS page
- HWmonitor shows 667 MHz once booted

DRAM timings:

- Basic 6-8-8-22
- Advanced - all auto

Had tried all settings without success until I set FSB +0.1V and system memory multiplier = 2.0 giving 667 MHz, at which point it all worked.
