Im looking to get a mixer shower fitted, mira seems to be a good brand although pricey, can anyone suggest a solid reliable mixer shower for a decent price? Im not too bothered about fancy design or anything just something that will work.

Does this thread really sound like a 'what's the most expensive mixer shower you can find on Google' competition to you?

Informative post and clearly useful for the OP!

Did Bitslice state he was going to get the most expensive mixer shower? I don't think so!

OP....

You can get Hansgrohe thermostatic bar showers for around £100 on eBay so no more expensive that a lot of other brands out there.

Personally I'd always go for a thermostatic over manual.

What are you on about? Bitslice pointed out that the op never specified an actual budget. Clearly he feels there aren't enough clues in the op :D. Him not being able to make that leap is fine, but don't ask me to cater for the lowest common denominator.

And my first post was more useful than suggesting 400 quid digital mixers given the op's stated requirements. It doesn't take a surgeon to realise the guy is on a budget; I point this out and I'm being unhelpful?

Well if he's talking about budget showers then the OP mentioning Mira doesn't say cheap to me, certainly for electric showers their technical design is much better than say Triton.

What most people's idea of "budget" on here is usually out of my price range, and buying say a new budget Triton in my view isn't that clever. People change their bathrooms all the time and plenty of top end kit turns up on eBay for pennies. This is stuff that even second hand is gong to outlast budget stuff bought new.
Annoyingly I missed out on a Hansgrohe mixer for £22 last month, so I'll stand by my recommendation of an eBay Hansgrohe over your new £200 Mira Pace EV, as it's not something I'd consider as budget :)

Budget is very subjective, but we had to start somewhere and a £400 Aqualisa Quartz didn't seem sensible given the OP. But hey, glad to be proved wrong if you can pick these up for £100 on eBay.
