Having realised I need 32GB ram, I am finding it almost impossible to get another set of my current RAM which is G.Skill F4-3600C16D-16GTZR (2x8GB). Just come across a 2x8GB kit of F4-3600C17D-16GTZR, will I be fine adding this kit? I'd assume the CL17 kit would overclock to CL16 or even CL14 anyway?

I'd assume the CL17 kit would overclock to CL16
Possibly - but for initial testing purposes you would normally match the C16 to that of the C17 set and once you've established stability with all DIMM slots filled you could then experiment with tighter timings/match the C16...

Although, you could go for it - and match the C16 right from the off, and if it failed then navigate the more methodical route of the above.

I think I will do that. Many thanks :)

I'm not worried about it all running the tightest timing ever. But if both can do CL16 I'd be happy enough.
