Mixing brands

Hi, I've just snagged myself a rather nice deal on the for sale forums as my PC died last week. It's coming with 2x2Gb OCZ 9200 Flex II... I was wondering will I have any issues running these with my current Corsair XMS2?

I have found that mixing brands works okay most of the time, just may be restricted in how far you can push the RAM.

In your case the Flex II & XMS2 will most probably not fit in to the DDR2 slot as the Flex are too wide (water block)

D'oh. Hmmm... Is this flex II ram the ****? Just I've not been into the OC\performance PC thing for a fair while. How much $$$ can I get for the Flex II, or am I stupid for thinking of selling it? Then getting another 4Gb of XMS2 as I would kinda like 8Gb of RAM.

Unless you use memory heavy apps, 8gb is not necessary.

the Flex IIs are great sticks of RAM, some of the best RAM out there.
