Mixing corsair ddr4 kits

I have 2 x 8gb

CM4X8GD3600C18K2D

Im looking to jump to 32gb and cant find that exact ram module. There are similar however such as below. Google AI thinks id be ok, worst case dropping down from 3600 a bit. Has anyone done similar, mixed modules with same frequency, voltage etc from corsair.

Do you think these will work together?

It is impossible to say without trying it. They may work, they may not. The CPU/motherboard is also a factor.

Needing to drop the frequency down is likely, yes.

It will probably work regardless, but you can increase your chances of success if you get a kit with a similar die. The ver. number on the RAM sticks label

Thanks both. I may be snookered my ref. RAM kit doesnt seem to be produced anymore so will have to take a leap. Ill scrutinise the ver. Number

They're usually ok but as has been said better if they're both the same manufacturer.

As those are fairly loose timings then as long as the primary timings match i.e 18-22-22-42 then it is more likely to work than not.

The other thing to note is what kind of motherboard you are using. If your motherboard is NOT "T topology" then it will work better with 2 sticks of RAM as opposed to 4, which means you might have to bump the voltage slightly (0.05v) to get 4 sticks to run stably.
