Hi all, I'm currently running 3gb of Corsair XMS2-6400C4 (2x1gb, 2x512mb). I'm thinking about switching the 1gb kit for a 4gb kit, given that I'm running Vista x64 now.

Problems is the only plain xms2 kits I can find are c5. I know my c4 defaults to c5, but is it advisable to mix them, given the different spds? Alternatively, could I chuck in 4gb of the c4 xms2 DHX instead? Other than the cooling, the timings and voltages match my current memory.

Cheers!

don't think it would make much difference, but besure to install the ram in the correct slots to keep it double channel otherwise it will be running in single channel mode
