Went to see Billy Connolly at the Bournemouth International Centre last night and I must admit I spent more than a short amount of time watching the sound guy doing his thing.
I don't know if anyone was there who also took note of the sound equipment in the middle but I'm especially keen to find out what model of mixing desk was in use and also what that software was running on his laptop, with blue and red waveforms (red I think being 'crowd noise' and blue being the live mic)
I'm sad and find things like this very interesting!
If you weren't there (more than likely) perhaps you could suggest some makes/models of mixing desk used in professional productions (I put a lot of effort into memorising the position of various faders etc so I'd recognise it if I saw it again!)
Cheers
