Mixing different branded GPU blocks in xfire

Anyone know whether the inlets and outlets on XSPC and EK blocks are configured in the same place for crossfiring 5870s?

Hmmmm maybe. Still can't be sure from those shots. Not enough to put my money on it anyway. Hopefully someone will come back with a definitive.

tbh i wouldn't risk it if you definitely want to use an sli/crossfire link doodaa, i'd just get another of the same as what you've got.

alternatively, just run some hose onto some subby barbs if you have a big enough gap between the cards.

Would prefer to use a link. Aesthetics and all that.

if you want it to look aesthetically nice, surely 2 of the same blocks are the way forward?

ah now, dont be mixing blocks.

even if the inlets are a mm out then it will look terrible,

there was a brilliant tj07 build on here about six months ago whick was full of promise but the crossfire had unpaired blocks and it ruined the ENTIRE build.

i guess im just picky, but something like that would ebb away at me if i knew it was there

Good point well made RJK. I ended up buying the bare card with stock cooler. I'll source an EK block now.
