My pc has 3x2GB Corsair Dominator GT Triple channel memory, but recently I was given a 4gb module of XMS3 and have tried mixing it in there... blue-screening once every few days now though... It's all 1600MHz, but the timings are different. Failed memtest 86 - in 5 hours it reported a single error. Can I use the bios on my Asus P6X58D-E to control the RAM in a way that will stop the BSODs?
Sorry if I'm asking stupid questions, I've never really sought out proper explanation for this sort of stuff never having had to deal with it previously, and all the articles are so confusing.
Thanks in advance. I always appreciate these little lessons OCF provides hehe.
