Mixing memory of the same manufacturer

I just bought 16gb of teamgroup memory to upgrade from my current 8gb, would it be stable to use the 16gb along with the 8gb of the same make so I would end up with 24gb?

the 8gb is two sticks of 4gb and sits in dim slots 2/4. the 16gb is two sticks of 8gb.

I would not bet on it being stable. Different density SPD and so on.

Personally, I only ever use matching ram. It can be a volatile beast so keeping things all the same helps rule out any potential ram issues.

Makes troubleshooting far easier if your system does have any issues; If you had mixed ram, you'd point your finger straight at it.
