Hi folks.

I recently bought:

GeIL 12GB (3x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz VALUE PLUS Triple Channel (GVP312GB1600C9TC) [GVP312GB1600C9TC] (This run at 9-9-9-28 and requires 1.6v)

I bought it so I could do more testing of Virtual machines using Virtual Box.

Previously I had 6GB of this in my system:

Patriot PVT36G1600ELK DDR3 1600Mhz 9-9-9-24 running at 1.65v

I have an Asus P6T motherboard that has 6 slots in it. Will these two types of RAM running at different latencies and voltages work together to give me 18GB? Or is it time to find another use for them or sell them???

Thanks

CK

In the past i've mixed ram without too many problems. I'd set them to 1.6v with 9-9-9-28 timings and see what happens. Using 4 sticks may mean you have to have to set the command rate to 2T to get the 4 sticks to work.

Currently I'm running my ram at stock timings and undervolted from 1.6 to 1.5v.

Kris

It would be 6 sticks mate. they are triple channel kits
