The time has finally come for me to move to vista 64 as with a few of the newer games my ram's been hitting well over 95% and i've been getting horrible stutters. I got a set of OCZ Reaper HPC 1066 for stupidly cheap from a friend who's gone to DDR3 which i'll install once my x64 vista shows up in the post. If i were to run these 2 new 2gb sticks along with my 2x1gb Crucial 1066 for a total of 6gb would i likely run into problems given the different brands? My overclock works best when i keep the memory running slightly underclocked at 1033mhz and the stocvk timings are the same i think on all modules. I know there wont be much performance diff between the 4 and 6gb i figure it might as well be in the machine rather than lying around in a box. Prob wont get enough for it to warrant the hassle of selling.

Never mixed ram before so any thoughts would be appreciated.( mainly just want to be 100% my machine wont go up like a nuke if i do it)

Thanks

yeah i dont see any problems there mate if the recommended voltage and timmings are exactally the same for both sets, theres no problems in trying now is there.? but can vary from batches of ram to motherboards and bios versions...

i have a system with 2 x 2gig OCZ mixed with 2 x 1gig Corsair running fine :p

Stuck them in yesterday and they work perfectly together. Vista startup is finally as quick as XP was!

only prob i can see with that setup which is now too late m8 is you bought vista with windows 7 around the corner,
