Hey guys, iv got 2x 2 GB DDR2-800 (6-6-6-18 @ 400 MHz) in my MOBO right now, and Id like to add another couple.

My MOBO data sheet says
4 x DIMM, 8 GB, DDR 800/667/533 ECC,Non-ECC,Un-buffered Memory

So is that 8GB in total or per DIMM?

and being Dual-channel would it still slow all the RAM down to the lowest speed? or say run 2 at 6-6-6-18 @ 400 MHz, and 2 at 5-5-5-18 @ 800 MHz?

That's 4 slots, 8GB in total, so 4x2GB maximum. Whatever RAM you put in, it wall all run at the speed of the slowest stick.

Thanks Andy, and with DDR2 do you double the Frequency = where my Ram reads 400 MHz then its actually running at 800 MHz?
