I have a Netgear WGT624 router (108mbps) and a Belkin 802.11g wireless network card (54mbps). I have tried to get them working toegther without any success. Can anyone tell me if they should work? Or do I need a Netgear wireless card? Thanks for any reply given. :)

Is there a way of telling the Netgear to use just standard 802.11G mode (54Mbps) as the extensions they use to get the "turbo" mode could be giving the Belkin card some troubles.

They will work fine together. Does the system 'see' the Netgear wireless and but not connect, or can it not see it at all?

I would have thought you should be able to mix brands. My mate uses a Netgear router (AOL freebie) with a Belkin wireless usb adapter and it works fine. One other thing is have you tried to get the network running without any encryption ? get a open network running before trying to add any protection.
