Mixing powerline brands

Hey everyone.

So I've got a pair of 85Mbps powerlines. I've had these pretty much since powerlines were commercially available for homes. They're still great, but I need another adapter now. Switching out is N/A as they're in totally different locations and I don't want to drag 5e all around the place. I don't want an access point either :). I like having physical connections, so I'm not looking for a debate.

Was just wondering if anyone has any set up at the moment where they've got multiple powerline adapters of different brands going around. I mean theoretically, it should work fine (I think). I'm looking at the P-Link PA411KIT AV500 500 at the moment. And basically, I would use the new pair and add my old 85Mbps pair as a 3rd 4th

Anyone's who mixing brands, I'd love to hear from you :)

Did a bit of research, and seems that old 85Mbps adapters may have problems as they're running HomePlug 1.0 and most powerlines are now running HomePlug AV2.

Seems like it might be a hit and miss.
