Hello,

A couple of years ago, I bought a few of these:

They've performed well, and I'm happy with them. I recently decided to extend my network to the kitchen, but couldn't find any more for sale. In any case, I wanted a smaler unit to be a little less intrusive.

So I bought one of these:

Super neat. Very small. Also a 200Mbps and Powerline, so should be no compatibility issues with my current network. Just plug it in and go, right?

It's not working and I'm not sure whether there's something extra I should be doing or if these two models just don't talk to each other.

I'd be really grateful for advice! Thanks!

Hello again.

Thanks for the responses. I've been away, so haven't had a chance to try anything out.

I downloaded the utility from the Asus site:
http://support.asus.com/download.as...m=PL-X31/PL-X32&os=&hashedid=BPU7oY7AN1xRYKuV

Unfortunately, the utility keeps giving me the same error: "The HomePlug Adapter was not detected. Please check your computer cables".

Any ideas? My google-fu is failing me...

Thanks!
