Mixing RAM - Voltages

I have 4GB of OCZ Reaper PC2 6400 requiring 2.3v. I also have 2Gb of corsair XMS2 running at 2.1v. Could I run the XMS2 at 2.3v?

I can't see that any PC2-6400 (DDR2-800 - 400MHz) memory needs anywhere near 2.3v! :eek:

Most i've used run that speed at about 1.82v :confused:

Hmm, maybe my google skills fail. I'll recheck the specs.

they are probably protected under warranty up to 2.3...I doubt they will need more than 2.0 for 800mhz.

I would just start by putting both kits in at 800mhz 4,4,4,12 with 1.85-1.9v and seeing if it's fine.

the reaper should be 1.8@stock 800mhz

Good advice. Also, anything over 2.1v for the most part is likely going to be converted to heat with little or no performance gain.
