Hi, I have the evga 680i motherboard with an E6700 and use Corsair TWIN2X1024A-5400UL - 1GB (2X512MB) Corsair TwinX XMS2, DDR2 PC5400 (667), 240 Pin, Non-ECC Unbuffered.

Having 2 available RAM slots left, will I have the use the same RAM to upgrade to 2gb?

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

It is advisable to use the same again.

Different memory may work ok, but there's a good chance that it may cause problems.

It might also be worth buying a new 2x1gb kit as it's dirt cheap atm, and then selling your current sticks.

How much do you reckon I could get for my current RAM,

Thanks.

Probably only £20-25 as it can be had for £32 new. And 2x1gb of CAS4 PC6400 can be had for £55.

Depends what kind of mood the Ebay nutters are in.

Where can you get the RAM for £32. I might just get that again.

Thanks again!

Will this RAM work in m system as I have the Low Latency edition - CM2X512A-5400UL?

Thanks again!

3-3-2-8 @ 667mhz

I didn't know Corsair had such good DDR2.

This might be a query better suited to Yellowbeard. He's around here quite often, or you can find him at the XS Corsair Support Forum.

They use Micron chips, so the Crucial Ballistix PC5300 may be the closest you'll get.
