Right, normally i wouldn't think twice about this but i've been out of the loop and this is my first DDR2 system so bear with me. Basically i have GA-MA69VM-S2 and its currently got 2x 512mb Kingston ValueRAM 667mhz sticks in it (#KVR667D2N5/512). However OcUK dont sell these, and since i am planning to do a fairly big order i want to do it with OcUK and dont wanna fart around using 2 companies if i can avoid it. So i was wondering if in the remaining 2 slots of the motherboard i could put in ocuk's own 800mhz stuff? i assume as with DDR it will just slow down and all will be good ?

if it comes to it i'll just do two orders but as im sure you guys can appreciate i really can't be bothered and would rather spend my money here

In theory, yes it will work fine at the slower speed.

But mixing brands can cause problems. Some chips are incompatible with others.

Personally I would order the Kingston again, even if it means two orders.

Yeah, that would be my gut reaction as well. ah well, we will see probably gonna wait a few more weeks and collect a bit more money like.

cheers
