Any problems arise from mixing 2 different 4gb kits both corsair with same timings and voltages 1 is dominator and the other is XMS 3

If there is i will just use the XMS3 as it will sit under my NH-D14 better

Thanx for the advice man, just wanted to try using all 4 slots in my mobo to see if it affects the IMC or overclocking more of an experiment than anything else. Plus if i upgrade to sandy i will have some XMS3 to go in it :)

Buy the HyperX and you can use that with your current set up and then for Sandy Bridge.

When you upgrade use/sell the Dominator with your current set up.

I already have paid for the XMS 3 from the MM, impulse buy to have a play around with. Why is all the ram coming in different colours these days , like the corsair white kits seem really good and use very low voltage yet i see hardly anyone with them ?? whys that?

few quid difference on each one but th arctic whites use much lower voltage for the same spec, so why does everyone seem to buy the xms 3 ?

I guess white isn't everyone's cup of tea.

Plus the RAM like the HyperX and XMS3 have quite often been much cheaper and they'll run at 1.5V which is as low as you need.
