Mixing same memory different speeds

I currently run
Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4 3000 MHz C15 XMP 2.0 CMW16GX4M2C3000C15

I have the opportunity to buy some
Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4 3200 MHz C16 XMP 2.0 CMW16GX4M2C3200C16

will this be a problem on an Asus Z490 mobo

The faster ram will downclock to the slower ram settings but should work fine.

I think you might be able to get the 3000MHz overclocked to match the 3200MHz.

try the ryzen memory tuner to find out.
