my friend has a core series OCZ SSD and likes the look of the new vertex SSD's would he be able to raid 0 them together fine? he will be getting another 30gb to match his current 30gb. But was wondering if the cache and dif speeds would mess things up.

like above, it should work, but remember with all raids the fastest speed and capacity is taken from the slowest and smallest drive.

It wont hurt to try it but I would say don't, Use the Vertex on its own instead or consider 2 vertex's.

you will drop the speed of the vertex and get no benefit at all from its 32mb cache. I have a feeling that the Vertex will run faster Real world use on its own but againif you dont mind testing things do it I dont know anyone else that has done anything similar with SSD's so the results would be intersting

It would be nice for someone just to get a Vertex.. irrelevant to whether its in raid ;)
If your going to raid your mates OCZ core drive.. just get another core drive, itll be cheaper.
